WHY WE ARE HERE

West Lodge and its land has been in the Belgrave family for over 100 years. The land has been farmed organically for over 45 years. Sue and Jos run West Lodge as a place of retreat and restoration for individuals from marginalised communities. 

 

We saw the vineyard as being a focus for community, both local and from afar.

 

We were also looking for a new challenge and to learn something completely new involving innovation. The opportunity to get involved in growing in this farming county seem appropriate and vines fitted with the challenge of farming in the coming years of climate change.
